HOLITOPIA is a "carrier bag" for multi- and transdisciplinary components, which are spatially and content-related. The positions are experimental, speculative, and fictional, and presented through various media; the mediation being participatory and discursive, as well as often performative. The exhibition becomes a form of participation, blurring the lines between speakers and audience. Some artists approach the audience discursively through active participation in symposia and workshops, and their works inspire the content.
The festival attracts a wide audience, including gallery owners, museum directors, media experts, authors, startupers, strategists, risk experts, futurists, trend and policy analysts, political scientists, representatives of European institutions and bodies, NGO professionals, fashion stylists, designers, architects, urban planners, facilitators, and curious minds.
The festival aims to facilitate knowledge transfer into civil society and thus opens up access to knowledge that is usually confined to specialist circles. This year, the exhibition extends outdoors with a sculptural intervention and performance. The themes span climate change, the scarcity of resources, migration, and technological progress, in kinship with the background of naturel elements (air, water, earth).
