TOWARDS SOUND by Composer Ruth Wiesenfeld; Archive of Sketches, Drawings, and Visual Notations
These forms of visualisation—beyond conventional notation—create possibilities for alternative ideas and images of creative processes that often result in a real music composition. Formally, the works of 17 international composers shows heterogeneous approaches; these detours, bridges and mental fire accelerators allow us to look into the complex process of composing. Texts, diagrams, watercolours, ink, lines: the formal language of musical thought is as varied as the sound world that emerges from it.
