Creative Intelligence - Worldbuilding through Art and Future Design

The workshop focuses on the following topics:

  • Art & Social Design & Futures Forsight: Participants learn how creative methods from art and design can be used to address social challenges and explore future scenarios.
  • Systems thinking & systemic coaching: By applying systemic thinking and coaching methods, participants will be empowered to understand complex interconnectedness and develop solutions from different angles.
  • Expanding methodological skills: The workshop offers a variety of practical exercises and techniques to expand participants' methodological skills and learn new creative approaches.
  • Practical application to the students‘ own topics: The concepts and techniques learned are directly applied to the students’ individual projects from the Master's course in System Design in order to develop concrete solutions for current challenges.
  • Sharpening one's own role, vision and goals: Through supervision and discussion, the participants are encouraged to reflect on their personal role as future designers and to sharpen their visions and goals.

A special highlight is the excursion to the Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart ‘Hamburger Bahnhof’ on the course's third day, which offers participants the opportunity to draw inspiration from art and culture and to critically discuss the theoretical concepts in a real context.

Overall, the workshop offers an intensive and inspiring experience that opens up new perspectives for participants at the interfaces between art and future design and enables them to integrate artistic approaches into their own projects.
