HOLITOPIA 2024

Witness future design and art coming together to turn visions into reality: futures you can see and touch! Navigate future scenarios together with some of the brightest and quirkiest minds in future design and creative industries.

HOLITOPIA is a festival focused on future design and creative disciplines ranging from art to architecture. Its aim is to give shape to abstract visions of the future: futures to see and touch.

The festival program is embedded in a cross-disciplinary indoor and outdoor exhibition, and includes a conference, workshops, artist talks, curator tours, performances, concerts and an after-party.

Everything is design – this expanded concept of design means that we can shape not only material objects but also processes and, consequently, the future. Against this backdrop, HOLITOPIA explores the potential of future design as a mindset and method for transforming visions of the future into tangible solutions, aiming to provide the public with access to future design as a tool for fostering positive societal change.

Offering a platform for everyone who wants to actively participate in shaping the future, alongside internationally renowned figures from science, research, art, other creative disciplines, and entrepreneurship, HOLITOPIA promotes interdisciplinary and cross-industry knowledge transfer and invites participants on a multifaceted journey into the future.

The 2024 edition of the festival was based on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences (HTW), Berlin’s largest applied sciences university.
